Pressurisation of System Filling

When we talk about pressurisation in our HVAC system we are really covering three separate aspects:

An introduction of the initial charge of system water. Filling the system and preventing backflow to the mains.

Subsequent “topping up” of the system water. From our CAT5 cistern in the pressurisation unit

Absorption of volumetric expansion within the system pipework and applications.

This is all set out in BS7074 parts 1,2 and 3
