IPS Flow Systems
Commercial Grease Separation Systems and BSEN 1825: Develop an understanding of FOGS, what it is, why it’s an issue, existing legislation, and the damage it causes, whilst considering the legal compliance relating to FOG prevention, and its appropriate disposal. Understand the relevance of the Design Standard BSEN 1825, and key aspects of Part 1, and develop an overview of the different types of separators, and construction materials. Through an introduction to passive grease separators (free standing /underground), develop an awareness of the various models available, the processes used to decide on the correct system, and importance of correctly sizing a grease separator, and the various methods using BSEN1825 Part 2. Backwater Protection and Built in Flood Resilience BSEN13564: Develop an understanding of term “backwater”, where and why it occurs, and the damages it can causes to structures and build contents. Understand the principles of backwater protection, and the knock-on effects to the drainage system, and to develop an overview of anti-flood valves, where they’re found in Building Regulations Part H H1 Section 2, and examining BSEN13564 Anti-Flood Devices for Buildings. Study the classifications types of devices, their categorization within BSEN13564, and their functionality looking at each type of device, through examples. Focusing on over pumping systems, consider solutions for both residential and commercial buildings, and the logic behind all over pumping systems. Consider the importance of sizing a pumped nrv system correctly using the standard, and the importance of telemetry for monitoring activities, providing live reports, and setting modification.
