- Integrating Heat Pumps into Heat Networks: This CPD seminar guides its attendants on Integrating Heat Pumps in Building Design. It aims to show its attendants how to ensure Heat Pump performance when designing a building. It also investigates the required temperatures and advises on the best CAPEX/OPEX balance
- Achieving Passivhaus & BB101 Standards for School Ventilation: The CPD is designed to demonstrate that by linking Passivhaus standards and those of BB101, we can achieve schools with much lower carbon footprints, whilst discussing the merits of the guidance in these documents.
- 4G Heat Network Design: Based on best practices and extensive practical experience gained in Denmark and the UK, this Seminar aims to provide attendees with the design principles governing Heat Networks that are reliable, cost-effective and future-proofed.
- Heat Network Metering and Billing (Smart M-Bus): Smart M-Bus provides transparency, insights and accountability to heat networks. Keeping in mind the key stakeholders of heat networks, this seminar covers the principles of metering in 4G Heat networks.
- Danfoss FlatStation HIU: For those attendees unfamiliar with FlatStation HIUs, the session aims to provide a good understanding of the underlying district heating and central plant principles. The veterans can develop any of the finer points that they would like clarification of. SAV will bring their hands-on practical experience of several hundred successful projects on which FlatStations have been incorporated. All things being equal, every attendee should come away from the seminar with their knowledge base enhanced.
- LoadTracker CHP and Hybrid Energy Centres: This CPD Seminar is designed for Building Services Mechanical Consulting Engineers, Energy Managers and HVAC System Designers. It contributes 1.25 hours of CPD time. The Seminar has useful content for those starting out with CHP, as well as for those who are already well versed in the subject. It provides a thorough introduction to CHP and will help you to hit the ground running with your own clients. Attendees will develop an instinct for matching CHP plant to various types of projects.
- HVAC Modules: Ever since 1999 when Commissioning Modules were introduced, SAV Systems has been at the forefront in developing well-designed solutions for use in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems. Improvements in flow control have contributed to reductions in system energy usage, simplification of commissioning and better response times. This CIBSE accredited seminar will provide attendees with an update on all of these, and more. The objective is to leave you in a position to take the lead in discussing any of these issues, in a project scenario.
- Meeting BB101 (2018) with Smart Mechanical Ventilation: The AirMaster SVU CPD explains the main changes to the reissue of BB101 and how AirMaster SVUs can aid consultants in solving the new challenges that it proposes. Attendees will gain the knowledge of how to utilise AirMaster SVUs in a school setting.
- The Implications of Net Zero for School Design: The CPD discusses how designers can integrate a range of low carbon methodologies and technologies, including MVHR and heat pumps, to achieve better performing indoor environments for pupils whilst cutting the carbon footprint of the schools.
-Designing with large Delta T Heat Pumps
This CPD seminar covers role of heat pumps in heat decarbonization and efficient designs with large delta T heat pumps. It provides information on refrigeration history and legislation focused on the latest updates in F Gas regulations. Seminar explains differences between refrigerants and shows the most common applications for natural refrigerants, with emphasis on CO2 and propane heat pumps. It also provides guidelines for selection, sizing and design of energy centres based on air and water source heat pumps, explains benefits of hybrid design and importance of thermal storage. CPD uses case studies of large heat pumps applications in heat networks in Denmark.
