Emergency lighting - The latest requirements, responsibilities and standards:
The legislative requirements for emergency lighting application, products and systems. Focusing on the standards that guide for compliance including the recent changes to keep up-to-date. The main focus will be BS EN 5266-1:2016 but will cover the pertinent sections of and give reference to BS EN 1838:2013, BS EN 50172:2004, BS EN 60598-2-22:2014, BS EN 62034:2012 and BS EN 50171:2001.
This course will also detail the Regulatory Reform (Fire safety) Order 2005, the responsible person and their basic duties and responsibilities including risk assessments, monitoring, testing and maintenance requirements.
Emergency Lighting Battery Technology - This cover the history of battery technology used in the emergency industry, comparing the benefits, total cost of ownership, performance, safety and environmental impact.

Steve Saville has worked in the electrical industry for over 30 years. Working in the lighting industry for last 20 years including management roles in service, technical, mains lighting product management and emergency lighting product management including self-contained and slave emergency luminaires, addressable test systems and central battery systems.
Steve also serves on the ICEL Technical Committee, the ICEL Council and the FIA Emergency Lighting Working Group
