Your new role This role is open to various levels from two years professional experience of working as working as an Mechanical design engineer in a building services environment. This role will be involved in the full cycle of design work including calculations, managing designs to the clients briefs, communicating with clients. Associate Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer
Your new company Your new company is working on some of the most complex MEP designs in the UK and are very proud of their technical ability and the quality of services they deliver for their designs, working on RIBA 2-4 and consulting through 5-7. The office is located in either Leicester or Birmingham however, you can be flexible with how often you attend the office, so if you live a little further away to Leicester or Birmingham, then please still apply. This company is currently working with United Utilities, MoD, Public Health England, DEFRA, and NW Universities. Projects range from £50m - £600m Your new role In your new role, you will be working as an Associate Electrical or Mechanical Engineer on highly complex and technical MoD projects, including Shooting Ranges, Bespoke Training Facilities, UK Defence Facilities and DEOP (Defence Estates Optimise Programme). As well as MoD, you will be working on highly detailed labs, including Public Health England and Defence labs with both clean rooms and Cat 4 Labs. This role will be highly technical and requires the right candidate to be skilled in conceptual and detailed design.What you'll need to succeed To succeed in an application for interview, you will need to either working at similar level or ready to step up to this level with design experience either within a consultancy or contractor. Your new role As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical building services projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical building services. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare estimates. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient cost estimation. Utilise the CYPHER system for estimating and project management. Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of estimating standards and workflows. ️ What you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry.
