Income Officer

We have an opportunity for an Income Officer to join a Customer Accounts Team in Bristol. This is a full-time permanent role with a mix of home, office, and field working. The role: As an Income Officer, you'll be delivering a comprehensive rent and service charge collection service across your locality. This will include customer accounts from mixed tenures, and you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end process. As part of this role, you'll carry out a range of tasks including negotiating payment arrangements with customers, providing welfare benefit and money advice, managing evictions, and preparing applications for court. You'll be engaging with external agencies and local authorities when needed and on standby to visit customers in their homes as well as occasionally attending court hearings. To be successful in this role you'll need: Experience in income management or debt recovery/collection Knowledge and experience of either social housing, homeownership, or the private rented sector Excellent customer service skills A working knowledge of welfare benefits To be a self-starter with a proactive approach and possess the ability to work without close supervision Effective decision-making skills, a diplomatic and confidential approach, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload As you'll need to travel in this role, having a car and a full driving licence is essential. M&E Project Manager

Your new company The London Fire Brigade Property team are at the technical forefront of the property delivery team supporting, on all projects from RIBA stage 0 through to completion and handover. Given that LFB is an emergency service, their portfolio of properties is in use 24/7, 365 days of the year. Your new role As the M&E Project Manager, you will oversee various decarbonisation, refurbishment and lifecycle projects from inception to completion and handover. This includes the preparation of specifications and design sign off. You will act as the technical advisor for all M&E matters for other internal teams and external contractors and stakeholders. Typical project values range from £200k to £1Million, although a recent refurbishment project was delivered at the value of £8Million. In times of quiet periods, you may be involved in some fabric projects as an assistance to the wider team. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have 5 years+ experience of delivering M&E corporate/commercial projects from inception to completion. They will have a strong understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical engineering and project management. You must have exposure to working directly for the public sector, giving you a good understanding of the policies and governance processes and experience of delivering decarbonisation projects is desired. You must hold an HND/ HNC or Beng or other related Building Services related qualifications. Public Health Engineer

Opportunity:     As a Public Health Engineer, you will work within various market sectors, with a focus of high performing buildings such as laboratories and data centres. Your contribution will be expected in all phases of the project including feasibility, design, execution, and in-use. You will be expected to handle multiple projects concurrently.  Reporting directly to the Directors of these sectors, you will be responsible for designing PH Services across every stage of the project lifecycle, from the initial brief through to design, commissioning, and final sign off.   You will participate in design teams to provide innovative engineering solutions. As a design team member, you will hold regular meetings to inform and advise clients. This will require excellent interpersonal and conversational skills, making the complex simple. Keeping up with new developments in your field of expertise is a must for this role. If there is insufficient knowledge or new developments arise, it is expected that you will gain knowledge by research, contacts with suppliers, etc.  As an international firm, our teams and clients are based in the UK and around the world in numerous other locations. Your role will see you providing Public Health systems design and consultancy within the UK engineering team, and to UK-based clients, but also collaborating as part of the firm-wide consultancy team working with international clients on exciting overseas projects.    This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days working from the office, 2 days from home). Responsibilities:   Able to produce designs, drawings, schematics, diagrams, project survey, design reports and specifications and risk assessments for:  Medical Gases (Argon, Compressed Air, Helium, CO2, O2 and others), Manifold Gas Design  Laboratories water (different grades and applications)  Gas distribution systems include toxic, inert and flammable gas manifold distribution systems and specialist gas detection systems.  Liquid nitrogen, oxygen depletion calculations, to inform the requirements for gas detection  plug and play swagelok gas design.  Sanitary Plumbing, Sitewide Drainage, Radioactive Drainage, Laboratory Drainage Domestic water services, Laboratory water services, Treated Water services, Boiler feed water, Cooling tower make up water, Domestic Sanitary plumbing.  Fire suppression protection systems  Being available for ad-hoc task to support the wider business such as is required.      Requirements:   Proven experience working in a Public Health Engineering position for 3+ years (essential), preferably within the construction/design sector. Experience in the commissioning of the services and problem-solving of installed systems ensuring full operation and function prior to handover.  UK design experience necessary with knowledge of CIBSE, IEC, BS, ISO and EN Standards Familiarity with UK & EU regulations.  Knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Bluebeam/Revu and Excel. Experience with Revit would be desirable but is not essential.  Excellent organisation skills, comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities in a busy and dynamic environment.  Ability to work to tight deadlines while under pressure.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to present complex information and clearly articulate business requests all levels of the business.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
