Lead Comissioning Manager

My client is Building Services consultancy providing single source solutions to the construction industry, property owners and property managers.  They provide solutions on all aspects of Building Services Commissioning and Client Verification and have been at the forefront of Commissioning Management for over 35 years.  As a result of growth they are looking for a Lead Commissioning Manager to join the team. Responsibilities will include the following: Review all commissioning related documentation Review the testing and commissioning process and plan Identify risks to the project and any potential opportunities Review and report against installation progress Review trade contractors method statements Attend regular commissioning meetings Attend off-site and factory witness tests Witness system pre-commissioning and setting to work activities Witness commissioning activities Witness of all integrated system testing Witness of all performance / environmental testing Witness testing of life safety systems in conjunction with relevant Statutory Authorities Provide detailed reports to the client at agreed frequency Issue a final summary report to the project team confirming that the services have been correctly installed and commissioned to specification Identify any outstanding works, snags or potential latent risks System commissionability reviews Development of the commissioning plan When applying for this role as Commissioning Manager you will have skills and/or experience in the following items in order to be successful: Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven UK experience in commissioning management. Strong understanding of MEP systems and integration within building environments. Extensive knowledge and understanding of British standards and building regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership and communication skills. Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is an MEP design consultancy looking to add an Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to their busy team of 15 engineers. They provide mechanical and electrical engineering services to a wide range of clients and market sectors including Healthcare & Education. This is an award-winning company that is large enough to provide stability and opportunity, but small enough to recognise its people as individuals.   Responsibilities: A capacity to sketch and develop designs and design briefs dictated by either clients or engineering managers. Having full responsibility for technical and financial decisions taken. These include choice of system, organisation of works, and development of projects, with the ability to comply with time restrictions and limits. Undertake surveys of a building and prepare reports on the mechanical aspects, including capability and compliance with Codes of Practice and Regulations and energy evaluation. Have an understanding of the basic physics and design parameters associated with other disciplines. Have a full and detailed understanding of the physics and design parameters on all aspects of mechanical works, and be able to implement the designs, including energy assessment. Be computer literate and able to assist in the preparation of drawings on CAD and ability to translate requirements to CAD technicians. Be competent in the exercise of independent technical judgement and application of engineering principles, including the application of Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulations. Maintain a proactive attitude to maintaining output to programme and time management Knowledge of British standards, building regulations documents, etc. Able to work without supervision Requirements: A degree qualification - mechanical or building services (Chartered or working towards). An HNC or HND with suitable design experience will also be considered. Client interaction skills. Software design ideally including Microsoft Office, Hevacomp, AutoCAD lexible working is offered with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home
