Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Your new companyIt is an award-winning building services consultancy which provides mechanical, electrical and public health design solutions with a particular focus on sustainability. Due to some key project wins, they are now looking to expand the team by hiring an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with the view to put you on a promotion path as the business continues to grow. Your new role It is as a Senior/ Principal Mechanical Engineer that can carry out engineering design, the management of projects and small teams, working on multiple projects including multi-million pound schemes. You will support the directors by developing standards within the company, taking the lead in managing projects utilising your experience. You will act as design lead on projects, promoting design excellence, and you will mentor and develop the skills of the engineers in the team. What you'll need to succeed You will have a strong technical core competence and background in project delivery. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the principles of building services and other related building design disciplines and a desire to mentor and lead a team of Engineers. You must also be- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services. Proven experience (6+ years) in mechanical engineering design within the building services industry. Experience leading and developing senior and more junior engineers. Comfortable in a client-facing role and willing to contribute to business development activities. Experience leading teams on large-scale and often complex projects. Experience in the delivery of all phases of a project from inception to completion, but specifically, design and quality control focused and dealing directly with the customer and project teams. Experience and awareness of major digital engineering tools, such as CAD/Revit. You will also have experience of delivering projects in a BIM environment. Due to growth, they are now looking for a client-facing Senior Electrical Engineer for their London office, located near Chancery Lane / Holborn. Caretaker

We are looking for a part-time Caretaker. The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK's & Ireland's Building Services sector. This will be a 10 hour working week, a permanent role based in Mullusk. If you feel this could be suitable for you, please apply. Core Responsibilities: Be responsible for securing premises, including ensuring all windows are closed, doors & gates, both internal & external, are locked at the end of each day. Ensure equipment and lights are shut down Open & close the premises & grounds and inspect the outer perimeter fences each day. Operate fire alarm, intruder alarm & building security systems & report any faults to the Manager. Attend after-hour alarm callouts and any breach of security should be reported to the line manager. Apply grit to ensure pathways & entrances are free from snow & ice when necessary. Empty on a daily basis litter bins within the building. Replenish toilet rolls, soaps, paper towels when necessary Replenish and order items by purchasing as necessary Clean the canteen, toilets, meetings and communal area to a high standard. Dust, damp, wipe and wash furniture. Sweep, damp mop resilient surfaces. Assist with general building maintenance duties where possible. All duties have to be carried out in accordance with the company Health and Safety policies and procedures and COSHH regulations. Any other duties are deemed necessary.
