Senior Electrical Engineer - To £65K + Package - Data Centres As a recognised global expert in the design of data centres, this MEP Design Consultancy is continuing to experience steady growth across their London, European and Dubai offices. Having recently moved to a new HQ in London, they are looking for a Senior Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer who enjoys working on data centre or other mission critical projects such as labs, clean rooms or life sciences projects. Reporting to the Electrical Associate and supported by a Principal Electrical Engineer when required, you'll use your initiative and experience to design and deliver projects through RIBA Stages 1-4. As a medium sized practice, they have created a culture where individuals can thrive and achieve their full potential. They operate a flat management structure and have always promoted people based on merit and ability. Here, you won't get bogged down with unnecessary red tape or office politics. You'll be given autonomy for leading projects; developing your own client relationships and nurturing the electrical team. You'll enjoy working on a variety of both new build and expansion or upgrade projects, with live projects currently underway across the UK, Ireland, Dubai, Europe and Australia. Requirements Degree qualified in a suitable Engineering field. Ideally at least five years' experience within the building services industry. Current experience with Data Centre; or other mission critical projects. Able to produce technical specifications, concept and detail designs, drawings, equipment schedules and written reports. Previous site experience, conducting site surveys or witnessing the installation or commissioning of Electrical systems. Able to assist the Director or Associate with fee proposals, resource allocation and nurturing less experienced engineers. Good communication skills; and able to work as part of a team. Package and Benefits Salary up to £65K (for a proper senior, with DC experience). Hybrid working policy. 25 days leave. Support to become a CEng, MIET. Payment of Professional Memberships. Ongoing support from Associates and Directors.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
Senior Mechanical Engineer - To £55K + Profit Share + Package + Almost fully remote role (Edinburgh) Due to growth, this Building Services Consultancy is looking for an additional Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to help design and deliver a range of interesting projects across Scotland. Current projects range from major decarbonisation and heat recovery projects with blue chip firms, CAT B office fit outs, surgeries, and upgrades of listed or cultural buildings. Working directly with the founding Director, a friendly and supportive Chartered Engineer (CEng, MCIBSE, MSc) you'll be responsible for HVAC design, attending meetings, and overseeing the installation of the mechanical building services systems on both new build and refurbishment projects. You will be fully supported in the role, but not micromanaged. You will be given the opportunity to lead your own projects from feasibility, design all the way through to construction. You'll enjoy a fully flexible, almost 100% remote role, and choose how many days a week you attend their office in Edinburgh, based on meetings and clients' requirements. Please note, this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity is with a start-up. So, you'll get a big say into the future direction and success of the business whilst being rewarded with a basic salary up to £55K, an annual 10% profit share and 25 days annual leave. Essential Requirements Minimum of four years' experience as a mechanical (HVAC / Building Services) design engineer. Previous experience working for a consultancy (ie Building Services, or multi-disciplinary) Ideally a member of CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) or IMech (Institute of Mechanical Engineers). Able to attend site meetings and client meetings around Scotland. Willing to attend the office once a week, if required. Must be a resident of the UK.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Mechanical (Building Services) Engineer - To £48K Quality of delivery, quality of staff, innovative projects, and a great company culture. These are the founding principles of this multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based near Liverpool Street. Quality runs deep through the practice, and every project is overseen by a director all the way through the various RIBA stages. They produce quality designs that are low in energy and carbon, are properly coordinated and, actually fit within the space that was allocated by the client. In terms of recruitment, they only employ permanent staff with stable employment histories, as they would prefer to turn work away rather than employing average engineers to just churn out poor quality designs. Innovation exists across everything they do, they analyse every completed project, compare how the building is performing in use, and then use building performance engineering to improve the next project. They also continuously research and invest in new and emerging technologies, in order to make their existing software, processes or templates more efficient. And, they also adopt a bold approach to building design, never shying away from the opportunity of trying something totally new, to solve an issue or overcome a challenge. As an Mechanical Engineer, you'll get involved in designing and modelling a variety of low carbon, interesting buildings such as theatres, museums, galleries, schools, castles, cinemas, offices, churches, universities, and data centres. You'll work as part of a friendly, experienced, and supportive team of around 30 engineers on one off projects, typically from concept all the way through to construction. You will attend design team and site meetings, and liaise directly with clients, architects, and specialist external consultants. You will also carry out heating and cooling loads, size plants, ducts, or pipes, use Revit MEP to produce 3D models, and also ensure all projects adhere to CIBSE guidelines, British standards and also promote a circular economy. Requirements At least two years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Previous experience working directly with Architects. Comfortable communicating technical terms, to a non-technical audience. Easy to work with, able to work as part of a team.
