The project values range from £5,000 to £2 million, and the company prides itself on delivering high-quality plumbing, heating, and HVAC solutions. Your new role The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and build projects, with a proven track record in estimating for plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems. Hybrid working conditions would be considered for this role, allowing you to balance office and remote work.Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical services projects, including plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimation. Maintain and update a database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors. Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and reports to clients and management. Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and contract negotiations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or mechanical services industry. Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems. Design and build experience is essential. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills. I am currently representing an excellent building services company who are in need of Semi Static Commercial gas engineer to be operating across 3 campuses at the Queen Mary University in East London. Site cluster: All sites are within 1 square mile of each other within Mile End/Whitechapel in London.
