Electrical Inspector (L/Derry) NIHE
Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) to recruit an Electrical Inspector. Based in their Derry/Londonderry office within the Project Delivery team, which is a multi-disciplinary and professional in-house operation that delivers the Housing Executive's Planned Scheme Improvement programmes. This organisation has more than 85,000 properties and employs 3,000 members of staff throughout NI. Your new role Based in the Project Delivery division which is a multi-disciplinary and professional in-house operation delivering Planned Scheme Improvement programmes in a commercially competitive environment. It also provides an inspection and reporting service in relation to Planned Scheme Improvement and the provision of Adaptations for People with Disabilities.As the Electrical Inspector you will provide an inspection and measurement service on allocated construction sites, ensuring contract standards are maintained in respect of Statutory Regulations, materials and workmanship. The post holder inspects, and measures works completed at various stages throughout construction, maintains detailed records, and forwards these records and measurements to the Contract Administrator/Project Manager/Clerk of Works. What you'll need to succeed You will either be a Time Served Electrician with over 4 years relevant experience. Or BTEC Higher Certificate/Diploma qualified electrical engineer with 3 years post qualification experience in Construction maintenance. Or A degree or equivalent qualification in a Technical/Construction related discipline, plus 2 years' post qualification experience in Construction maintenance. The post holder must be conversant with 17th edition 2008 and comply with subsequent editions as required. You must have a full UK Driving licence with access to a vehicle. What you'll get in return Salary range £31,500 - £35,200 You will get the opportunity to work for a large Housing Body on an ongoing temporary contract. This position offers an immediate start with weekly payment via BACS transfer with all business mileage expenses being reimbursed at 45p per mile. The role allows for an excellent work-life balance with the working hours amounting to 37 per week along with an annual holiday entitlement of 35 days, inclusive of stats.
