Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Your new companyIs a well-known international design consultancy competing for some of the biggest projects in the market. They are especially well known within the commercial, education and life sciences sectors and tend to get a lot of work from end-user clients. They are over 300 Engineers strong across the company and have recently opened a London office as they expand their international presence. They have ambitious growth plans backed by resource from abroad and the 5-year plans will involve a lot of growth and progression opportunity in the team. Your new roleIt is as a Senior/ Principal Electrical Engineer that can carry out engineering design, the management of projects and small teams, working on multiple projects including multi-million pound schemes. You will support the directors by developing standards within the company, taking the lead in managing projects utilising your experience. You will act as design lead on projects, promoting design excellence, and you will mentor and develop the skills of the engineers in the team. What you'll need to succeedYou will have a strong technical core competence and background in project delivery. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the principles of building services and other related building design disciplines and a desire to mentor and lead a team of Engineers.You must also be- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering/Building Services. Proven experience (6+ years) in electrical engineering design within the building services industry. Experience leading and developing senior and more junior engineers. Comfortable in a client-facing role and willing to contribute to business development activities. Experience leading teams on large-scale and often complex projects. Experience in the delivery of all phases of a project from inception to completion, but specifically, design and quality control focused and dealing directly with the customer and project teams. Experience and awareness of major digital engineering tools, such as CAD/Revit, and Amtech. You will also have experience of delivering projects in a BIM environment. Minor Works Mechanical and Electrical Estimator

Your new role As a Minor Works Electrical & Mechanical Estimator, you will join the team to lead and manage the commercial function on several Hard FM maintenance contracts. You will prepare and submit Target Costs based on first principles for minor Mechanical & Electrical works projects, review and analyse all relevant documentation, and value engineer projects to meet or exceed the client's requirements. You will also liaise with clients to advise on the best solutions/values and identify potential risks with design/materials. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will need: Previous experience in a Mechanical & Electrical estimator role, particularly within Hard FM Maintenance contracts. Sound knowledge of the market and Mechanical and Electrical systems, materials, and installation methods. Strong communication skills and commercial awareness. Experience working to budgetary targets and proficiency in IT applications (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word). A full UK Driving Licence. Associate Mechanical Director
Your new company Is part of a global engineering group who are growing their presence in the UK. They are a multidisciplinary consultancy who work across a number of sectors and project types but are best known for their work in the Middle East, where they successfully compete against the biggest consultancies in the world. They are on a growth trajectory and have just moved office to a location in the city. They pride themselves on developing all round Engineers and have grown a strong team naturally as a result and are rarely hiring on mass. They have had an opportunity for an Associate to step into a Director's level role and help run a team and act as the number two to the current London Director. There is also some succession planning in place as they would like this person to move up to Director level with their help. Your new role Is as an Associate Director helping to lead teams and projects and act as a deputy to the current London Director. You will be responsible for hiring your team with a number of direct reports underneath you. Besides this, you will have a lot of influence over projects and help manage clients, getting involved in the commercial side of the job, helping to manage the office. What you'll need to succeed You must have a number of years experience at an Associate level with experience in residential, commercial and ideally middle eastern projects and be ready to step up into a Directors-level role. You must be able to maintain and enforce systems and take responsibility for junior staff.
