As an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be able to work autonomously and play a crucial role in their projects by assisting in the design and project management, which is mainly based on performance specifications and monitoring. They carry out diagnostic work for clients considering lease renewals and can often be called upon by their clients to fix mistakes made by previous consultancies. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from early-stage Scope of Works and Performance Specifications, Design Monitoring, Detailed Design, Project Management/Budgeting, Project Coordination, Licence to Alter and all-round client advisory. Clients include small to large managing agents, surveyors, developers, and the MOD. You will be expected to be an integral part of the growing team, contributing to the success of the projects, and maintaining their high standards of quality and compliance. Your new role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated M&E Project Manager with a strong electrical focus to join the Housing Capital Delivery team. Your key responsibilities will be: Manage and deliver electric housing projects from inception to completion/handover. Oversee design sign-off, specification writing, and tender processes. Contract manage and project manage throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct pre- and post-inspections to ensure project standards are met. Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress and outcomes. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will hold an HND/HNC in Building Services or Electrical Engineering, have a minimum of 6 years' experience in delivering housing projects. You must have a proven track record of managing electrical housing projects from inception to completion and in turn, have strong knowledge of electrical systems and building services. You must have the capability to demonstrate excellent communication and report writing skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and stakeholders. A background within a housing association or local authority would be a great advantage.
