Partner - Fire Engineer

Partner Fire Engineer – UK Building Consultancy – to £100,000 + Bonus + Package A leading independent international Real Estate Consultancy is seeking a Chartered Fire Engineer to head up and lead their growing Fire Engineering division. We are looking to engage with either individuals currently operating at Director, or individuals at Principal/Associate level who have the ambition to step into a more commercially focused role. With significant projects already in place and additional fees being outsourced to 3 rd  party consultants, this Property Consultancy is looking to establish an in-house Fire Engineering Consultancy, to mirror the success of their established technical service offerings. They have significant fees already secured and future business development is straight forward, as projects are secured via internal stakeholders from Project Management, Asset Management and Building Surveying, Fire Engineering projects are drawn from existing projects with a Fire requirement and tapped into. You will be supported by the wider UK technical team across a network of offices across the UK. A dynamic and solutions-driven project and building consultancy, offering tailored technical expertise across a wide range of commercial property sectors. Their integrated approach ensures seamless support throughout the entire asset lifecycle, combining project and building consultancy with specialist services to meet the diverse needs of their clients. The Role: Chartered Partner Fire Engineer, responsible for playing a key role in growing the service offering. Sat within the Building Consultancy department, Partners are responsible for driving business plan initiatives, developing a strong business pipeline of new and repeat clients, empowering staff development and ensuring high professional standards at all times. The individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire safety systems and protocols to ensure the safety of their clients’ buildings and occupants. The role will involve coordinating and undertaking a wide range of instructions across the fire engineering discipline, including consultancy advice, project management and contract administration, technical due diligence and statutory reporting and compliance on a range of commercial property. The role requires a deep understanding of fire dynamics, fire protection engineering principles, and relevant regulations and standards, and will have a strong focus on client liaison and management, with an emphasis on developing relationships and a network within the sector that will last a career. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you should have: Extensive experience in cost management. Practical experience in cost estimating and planning. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials. Familiarity with construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies. Experience in post-contract cost management tasks. Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written. A methodical approach to work and strong organisational skills. The ability to adapt quickly to changing environments. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, financial, and numeracy skills. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily. An understanding of legislation impacting building contracts. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
