Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced M&E Asset Surveyor with UK-based expertise to join a growing team in Sheffield. This role is primarily office-based, focusing on cost planning and design development, with occasional site visits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up designs, conducting M&E surveys, measuring into bills of rates, and negotiating agreed rates with clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed mechanical and electrical asset surveys across various sites. Interpret and develop designs from RIBA stages 0-7. Measure and translate survey data into comprehensive bills of rates. Negotiate rates and scope of work with clients and contractors. Produce accurate cost plans and lifecycle assessments. Participate in value engineering (VE) meetings as required. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success. Candidate Requirements Minimum HND/C in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Proven UK experience in M&E asset surveying and cost planning. Strong understanding of building services systems and lifecycle costing. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Based locally to Sheffield (essential due to previous travel-related challenges). Full UK driving licence. Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Manager Location: Oxford / Berkshire / West London / Swindon Salary: Up to £75,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits We are working in partnership with a leading M&E contractor who has recently secured a £1 million hospital refurbishment project in Oxford. As part of their continued growth in the Southwest region, they’re now looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to support existing project delivery and help shape the future of the business. The Role You’ll report directly to the new Head of Projects, working closely with two other Project Managers. This position is designed to act as the HOP right-hand, providing strong technical leadership and helping deliver key mechanical projects across the South and Southwest. This is a long-term opportunity with a clear succession plan in plan, developing into a Head of Projects Role in the future, the successful candidate will be positioned to step into a leadership role themselves. They operate within a 40-mile radius of Preston and have a team of 30 mobile engineers supported by a dedicated office-based team. Around 75% of their work is in the education sector (including universities, academies, and PFI schools), with the remaining 25% across car showrooms, offices, churches, sheltered housing, fire stations, and leisure centres. The Role As an Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of a wide range of air conditioning systems, including: Split systems VRF / VRV systems Ducted units HVRF systems Air source heat pumps and associated mechanical plant This is a mobile role covering commercial sites across the North West. The ideal candidate will be based in or around Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington or East Lancashire.
