Associate MEP Director (Building Services)

Your new company This leading MEP Design Practice has been working in the sector for over 50 years and continues to grow and nurture talent to this day. They work from almost 10 offices across the UK and have almost 100 staff in total. They work in all sectors and have completed recent projects across Retail, Commercial, Residential, Public Sector and Critical Systems. They pride themselves on delivering an award-winning level of customer service and rarely need to win work away from their core client base. They have a clear set of standards and goals they live by and a strong leadership presence both in the office and across projects. Your new role This is a fairly unique job opening for the business as they never normally recruit at this level from outside the business. Due to expansion and a drive to develop the business, they are recruiting an experienced Associate Director to join the business and be the next London Director. You can be from either a Mechanical or Electrical Building Services background, but you must have great people management experience as the team grows to mirror workload. You will be a strong operational leader able to develop staff and oversee projects. You will also need to be up-to-date on design software as well as regulations and changes in standards. What you'll need to succeed You will need to have led high-performing teams previously and be adept at both running projects as well as running the commercials on those projects. The team will be growing, so an aptitude for developing staff is a must and instilling company values and standards. This role will be focussed on operationally delivering great customer service and ensuring the business continues growing. You will need to be qualified within Building Services and ideally Chartered within the UK. You must have worked on large UK-based projects and be able to manage a decent sized team of MEP Engineers. What you'll get in return A competitive salary and package. The company offers a decent profit share at this level and package to include above standard holiday, healthcare and pension contributions. Overall, the package is negotiable and further career development into a true leader of the Building Services industry is a real possibility as the company continues to grow. The package for this position after a year or two will increase significantly.
