Senior Public Health Engineer
Europes leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy organisation employing c22,000 staff require an experienced Public Health Project Engineer to join their multidisciplinary Building Services design team. You will be required to support the delivery of a wide variety of projects for several key clients covering a range of activities from project feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities: Take responsibility for development of practical public health design solutions across a wide variety of challenging and prestigious projects; Close liaison with project teams to produce coherent and coordinated information; Representing the organisation with clients, design teams, and contractors; Investigating new and emerging technologies and applying practically; Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist in mentoring and development of others; Taking responsibility for production of high-quality Revit and AutoCAD work; Quality Control for CAD/BIM production and adherence to company CAD/BIM standards; To be able to work in close collaboration and co-ordinate activities with project managers, team leaders, team members, and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role; To work in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets; Complying with project and Client protocols; To adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy. Professional Membership and Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline; Progressing towards or membership of an appropriate professional body (desirable). Qualities: Experience of Public Health design to British Standards and within a UK consultancy or contractor environment; Ability to develop technical design schematics and layout drawings, supported by engineering calculations; Experience of confidently managing production of design information in both 2D and 3D environments; Ideally an excellent working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD; Able to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members and to produce reports in plain English; Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required; Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met; Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions; Take responsibility for your personal development and enable and support the learning of others; Effective negotiation and persuasion skills, ability to manage and diffuse challenging situations; Project a professional image to clients and colleagues; Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors; Able to recognise own impact on others and adapt approach where appropriate; Demonstrate pride in work, through accurate timely delivery; Attention to detail; Willingness to adopt new technology and practice.

Static Commercial Heating Engineer
My client are an Essex based Building Services Company who have been operating for over 20 years. They now employ over 30 staff and turnover £7mil a year. They are now seeking a Commercial Gas Installation Engineer to join their team. Working on Static Commercial Site in London (3 - 4 month projects). Duties Install commercial pipework systems including heating, chilled, hot/cold water, and gas systems. Installation of plant and equipment such as boilers, pumps, water heaters, unvented cylinders, pressurisation units, chillers, AHUs, dosing pots etc. Undertake pipefitting using a variety of materials (carbon steel, copper, stainless steel, plastic) and methods (press-fit, threaded, welded, etc.). Plan and execute pipework routes on-site in accordance with design drawings and project plans. Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to meet installation deadlines and milestones. Interpret mechanical layout drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical specifications. Adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations, company RAMS, and site-specific requirements. Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, with attention to neatness, alignment, and support systems. Maintain daily records of work completed and report any variations or potential issues affecting progress. Reporting to the office/supervisory team as appropriate. Requirements: Proven experience in commercial/industrial pipefitting and mechanical installation of plant rooms. Strong knowledge of heating and hot/cold water systems in commercial settings. Ability to interpret drawings and plan installation routes effectively. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline. Experience working to project programmes and collaborating with site teams and supporting contractors. Full UK Driving Licence (clean or minimal points). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach on-site.
