Principal Electrical Engineer

Principal Electrical Engineer | London (Hybrid)  Lead purposeful, low-carbon design with a clear path to Associate level  Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience)  Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to step into a principal role with real influence and a clear progression path to Associate? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, design-focused consultancy where you will lead the delivery of innovative, sustainable building projects and help shape the future of the practice.  With a strong track record across science and research, residential, commercial, education and public sectors, this team brings together technical depth, creative design, and a culture built on collaboration and purpose.  What you will do  As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will:  Take technical leadership of electrical design from concept through to completion  Oversee project delivery and coordinate with clients, architects and wider design teams  Provide mentoring and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers  Contribute to the development of internal processes, standards and quality assurance  Support client relationships and get involved in business development initiatives  Develop and deliver energy-efficient, low-carbon electrical systems that align with net zero goals  What you will bring  Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership with a recognised institution  Typically 8+ years’ experience in electrical building services design within the UK  Strong technical knowledge across lighting, power distribution, data, fire alarm and energy systems  Demonstrated experience leading projects through all RIBA stages  Excellent communication, leadership and coordination skills  A proactive approach and passion for design, innovation and sustainability  Why this opportunity stands out  This consultancy has built its reputation on high-quality design, sustainable thinking, and a collaborative way of working.
