Due to growth, an innovative building services consultancy is seeking an additional Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to help lead the charge in sustainable building services design. Senior or Principal Energy Consultant – Advanced Modelling Location: Central London (Hybrid) Salary: £45k - £65k (Dependent on Experience) A reputable and independent Sustainability Consultancy are looking for a Senior or Principal Energy Consultant to lead and develop advanced energy modelling services for them. This role involves delivering high-quality energy modelling using IES Virtual Environment (especially ApacheHVAC), with a strong focus on NABERS Design for Performance, CIBSE TM54, LEED, and other advanced modelling approaches. Key Responsibilities: Lead advanced modelling projects using IES VE, including NABERS, TM54, and LEED. Deliver compliance modelling (Part L, EPC), thermal comfort, daylighting, and overheating assessments. Develop internal modelling best practices and mentor junior staff. Support sustainable design strategies including passive design and Net Zero Carbon standards. Prepare reports, QA modelling outputs, and clearly present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
