Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Glasgow - Property Consultancy - to £55,500 + c.10% Bonus + Package. Over the last decade they have developed a fully functioning, in-house M&E Consultancy that feeds off the M&E work that occurs across their client’s buildings and portfolio’s - full Project Management & Detailed Design (stages 0-7). Uniquely, they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours. Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the clients representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the client’s psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership. They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression. Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services

Currently, they arelooking to bring an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to complement theirgrowing Edinburgh team. Your new role As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will beresponsible for all aspects of design and delivery of electrical services for aportfolio of projects. You will be responsible for; undertaking calculations,production of drawings, producing specifications and reports, conducting sitesurveys, conducting construction stage duties, providing client liaison,consulting with members of design/construction teams and any other relevantduties required to comply with project briefs. Producing and reviewing mechanical design drawingswill be key. You should be capable of managing your own workloadand the workload of others, updating forward plans of workload regularly &working to time allocations. Key responsibilities: Production and review of detailed design calculations for all aspects of electrical design. Production of specifications and schedules. Production of design notes, basis of design and RIBA stage reports showing compliance with standards and best practice. Production of design drawings from conception through to detailed design. Conducting detailed site surveys and inspection of installations. Mentoring and guidance of junior to intermediate engineers. What you'll need to succeed Degree in electrical engineering or other relevant subject. Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET, or working towards chartership. Strong background in Electrical Building Services Engineering Design. Proficient with Trimble/Amtech, Dialux, and/or other electrical design software and familiar with BIM processes using Revit or other recognized industry platforms. Experience in designing from first principles as well as the design of HV. LV. Lighting and lighting controls, Fire Alarms, Security/Access Control, electrical design for renewable energy systems and earthing across a range of projects.
