Ewen's passion for building services engineering began in 1990 as a reporter for H&V News. He became a prominent advocate for the industry, notably establishing the CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate Award to highlight young engineers' talent.
Ewen served as vice chair of the CIBSE ASHRAE Group for over 20 years and promoted young engineers through CIBSE Patrons. As an organiser and MC for CIBSE's Young Engineers' Awards, he continues to inspire future engineers.
He is also a trustee of the AG Manly Charitable Trust and supports the BESA Indoor Air Quality Group to improve building standards.
