Making Your New Management Position Successful
This module will provide you with scenarios and examples to enable you to manage and inspire your team. Whilst facilitating you with the skills for effective delegation. Learning about the demands of management medium-term priorities, and how to prepare for your new appointment with your boss.
You will learn to resolve difficult situations through role-plays, and will engage in group and pair work to tackle complex management issues.
The module is suitable for anyone who is taking up their first management posting.
To complete the module you must have completed both parts, A & B*.
During Part A, you will find out what changes when you become a manager. You will learn about the demands of a management posting and your medium-term priorities, and how to prepare for your new appointment with your boss.

During Part B, you will learn how to lead your first meeting as a manager. You will then be able to handle initial interviews with your co-workers or manage more delicate situations, such as managing former colleagues, experts and more senior co-workers.
You will also be able to identify and differentiate between tasks that are urgent and important, thereby helping you to delegate effectively.
