Pride Parade 2021

We have just received the dissapointing news that Pride in London will not be able to take place in person this year due to COVID-19 restraints.

The CIBSE Inclusivity Panel are currently exploring further options to support the LGBT+ community and will be applying to take part in the 2022 event.

We are also looking to publish role model profiles of members of the LGBT+ community. If you would like to be part of this project or have any suggestions on how we can better support you, please contact the CIBSE Inclusivity Panel at

A message of support from the CIBSE President:

"Participating in Pride signals our commitment to not only express our support of our LGBT+ members, but also to substantiate that commitment, by joining in and celebrating our shared values of Visibility, Unity and Equality for all our members and their communities.

By participating in this year’s events, we’re celebrating diversity whilst promoting dignity, equality and self-affirmation and raising awareness of some of the challenges that the LGBT+ community face.

It is an appreciation of our differences that does not set us apart, but rather brings us all together as a diverse community with a shared vision of using engineering skill to support the pursuit of a healthy built environment. With that in mind, I would like to thank the CIBSE Inclusivity Panel for their work in organising this initiative and would like to offer my best wishes to all participants in the Pride events taking place around the globe this year."
