Since working with British Rail, Geoff has had a series of senior roles, working for organisations such as NatWest, Essex County Council and University College London. Whilst leading on countless high profile facilities management projects, Geoff has consistently contributed to the development of CIBSE guidance, leading the production of documentation, events and writing standards.
In delivering his citation, David Stevens CEng FCIBSE MSLL commented:
“Over the last 30 years, Geoff has strived to develop the industry, and individuals wherever he can. His passionate and engaging style and effective sector leadership led to him being awarded the Silver Medal by CIBSE in 2010.”
As well as being a Fellow of CIBSE, Geoff is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors (RICS) and a Fellow of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management
Geoff has been involved with the CIBSE Facilities Management Group since its inception in the 1990's and has been the groups active Chair since 2003.
