Building Performance Awards Launch

Now in their 14th year, the Building Performance Awards are open for entries.

There is a closer focus than ever on the performance of buildings and their impact on the health and wellbeing of their occupants. In this environment, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers anticipates a strong level of interest in this year’s Awards.

The Building Performance Awards is the only programme where entries are judged on actual, in-use performance rather than projections or design intention. In an era of increasing scepticism, these awards are highly regarded for their dependence upon evidence-based results and demonstrable impacts.

In celebrating “building performance” the Awards have evolved over time to celebrate wellbeing as well as energy efficiency and to champion ethical, sustainable and environmentally sound businesses.

Entry to the awards is free and open to any organisation, both UK and international, that is responsible for the design, commissioning, construction and operation of buildings – both commercial and residential.

The deadline for entries into the 2021 awards is 3 September 2020. Award winners will be announced in a new venue: the Park Plaza, Westminster, on 25 February.

Entries are submitted online and the shortlist will be announced in November.
