The 2018 CIBSE ANZ Annual Cocktail Function and Young Engineers Awards ceremony will take place in a sanctuary that combines science, art and history – the Westpac Long Room at the Australian Museum in Sydney.
Whilst the 2018 Student of the Year Award asks the question, posed by 2017 CIBSE president in his opening address, “Is Engineering an artform?” – this recently refurbished venue suggests it is, with plenty of conversation starters on display at this celebratory networking event.
CIBSE asks all members and friends to save the date, from 6.30pm, Thursday 21 June 2018.
Booking and pricing information will be available from February 2018.
CIBSE is now calling for young engineers to make their mark - “What direction do you see the future of building services engineering heading?”
Your short response could see you named as winner of one of two coveted industry awards:
- CIBSE ANZ Young Engineer of the Year or
- CIBSE ANZ Graduate of the Year
Judges will be looking for clarity, originality, thoughtfulness and passion from this video component of the entry.

Does your organisation share CIBSE's vision?
The CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards recognise the outstanding young individuals who will face, head on, the engineering challenges of tomorrow's world with the passion, drive and tools to develop and design a brighter built environment for occupants, owners, and the natural environment. CIBSE is looking for organisations, who share our vision, to sponsor one of the three awards. For more information on sponsorship or for a brochure contact Sharon Pestonji on [email protected]
