Showcasing Building Services Consultancies

CIBSE is looking for building services consultancies to tell us their stories so that we can showcase their achievements. We want to hear how consultancies are championing young engineers in their workplaces, how they're leading the way in building performance, and spreading their knowledge and learning across the built environment sector.

By entering the following CIBSE Awards you can share your consultancy's story and help celebrate our industry's achievements. All our awards are free to enter and open to building services consultancies worldwide.

CIBSE Employer of the Year

Entry deadline: Tuesday 1st August 2017
Awards presentation: Thursday 12th October 2017, IMechE London

Awarded across three categories:

  • <50 employees,
  • 51-300 employees,
  • and >301 employees,

CIBSE Employer of the Year is open to any consultancy that pro-actively champions young people in the building services sector, through commitment to young people in the workplace or by supporting those employees through education. Judges are looking for a brief overview of the consultancy, a description of the ways it works with and develop young people, and an endorsement from a young engineer working for the consultancy about their experience.

CIBSE Building Performance Consultancy of the Year 

Entry deadline: Friday 15th September 2017
Awards presentation: Tuesday 6th February 2018, Grosvenor House London

Awarded across three categories:

  • <100 employees,
  • 101-1,000 employees,
  • and >1,000 employees,

CIBSE Building Performance Consultancy of the Year recognises the consultancy which has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the design or refurbishment of buildings to meet client expectations of performance. Judges are looking for evidence of how you ensure that commissioning processes are thorough to ensure buildings perform well, demonstration of staff development to offer clients a better building performance service, and activity you have undertaken to spread knowledge and learning of building performance across the sector.

CIBSE Building Performance Learning & Development Award

Entry deadline: Friday 15th September 2017
Awards presentation: Tuesday 6th February 2018, Grosvenor House London

The CIBSE Building Performance Learning and Development Award is awarded for initiatives undertaken to improve the understanding of building performance within a consultancy and/or in the wider built environment sector. Judges are looking for a description of the initiative, an explanation of how it leads to better building performance, any challenges faced in developing the initiative, and its impact.
