Number of Vacancies: Multiple

Location: International (Committee meetings will be held online.)

Number of hours required: Approx 12 hours in meetings (and additional hours as required) per year.

Responsibilities:  The Special Interest Group Co-opted Members work with the SoPHE and CIBSE Region committees to bring events to SoPHE members in their region.

  • producing high quality technical events, with opportunity for networking
  • working with the CIBSE regional committees to bring events to the Special Interest Group members in their local region

Description: Get involved in our Special Interest Groups! Our Special Interest Groups cut across different specialised areas of engineering. The committees work together to provide CPD events, newsletters and publish updates on their social media. Keen members of the Groups are encouraged to take part in the organisation of these activities by joining the committees.

Reasons to join a SIG committee:

  • Increasing your network by meeting like-minded individuals that can mentor you within the context of your special interest and people outside your local area
  • Attending the committee meetings counts towards CPD
  • Developing your soft skills including, but not limited to, event organisation; professional writing skills; presentation skills; networking skills, and more!
